
Nikolas Kassin-Dufresne, P.Eng.

Nikolas Kassin-Dufresne is the co-founder and structural engineer at LBK. Passionate about structural design, problem-solving, and client relationships, he leverages his expertise to deliver efficient and optimized solutions.
A graduate of Polytechnique Montréal in civil engineering (2014), he began his career at Freyssinet, working on major bridge projects across Canada from 2014 to 2017. He then joined Parsons as a bridge design engineer while pursuing graduate studies at Polytechnique Montréal from 2017 to 2020. In 2020, driven by a vision of innovative, client-focused structural engineering, he co-founded LBK alongside like-minded professionals.
Since then, he has worked closely with architects, contractors, and property owners to develop smart, durable structural solutions tailored to each project's unique needs. His technical expertise, combined with strong interpersonal skills, makes him a trusted partner. At LBK, Nikolas continues to push the boundaries of structural engineering, ensuring that every design is not only safe and functional but also optimized for cost, sustainability, and constructability.

Marc-Antoine Boileau, P.Eng.
Structural Engineer, Associate & Co-Founder
Marc-Antoine Boileau is the co-founder and structural engineer at LBK. Driven by a desire to combine innovation and efficiency, he develops optimized structural solutions that address the technical challenges of each project. His approach blends analytical rigor, creativity, and attention to detail to deliver designs that align with the realities of the field.
A graduate of Polytechnique Montréal in civil engineering (2014), he began his career at Kiewit Construction, participating in large-scale infrastructure projects such as hydroelectric dam repairs. He then joined CIMA+ as a structural engineer, refining his expertise in design and project management until 2020, when he co-founded LBK. Meanwhile, he pursued a master's degree in structural engineering at Polytechnique Montréal.
At LBK, Marc-Antoine plays a key role in the design and optimization of wood, steel, and concrete structures, collaborating with architects, contractors, and property owners. He favors an integrated and proactive approach, striving to balance technical performance, economic efficiency, and sustainability. His commitment to excellence and ability to anticipate structural challenges make him a strategic partner for successfully completing a wide range of projects, from residential to more complex structures.
Mathieu Légaré-B., P.Eng.
Structural Engineer, Associate & Co-Founder
Mathieu Légaré-Boucher is an experienced structural engineer, holding a civil engineering degree from Polytechnique Montréal, which he earned in 2014. With over 10 years of experience in building structure design, transportation infrastructure, municipal projects, and hydraulics, he has developed a broad and in-depth expertise.
Throughout his career, Mathieu has had the opportunity to work on a variety of landmark projects, ranging from commercial buildings to public infrastructure. He has gained a strong understanding of the challenges associated with structural design and excels at providing innovative solutions to overcome them. With his collaborative approach and commitment to delivering outstanding results, Mathieu has established himself as a recognized expert in structural engineering.
He applies his expertise to develop efficient and optimized solutions tailored to the specific needs of each project.
